About the Course

Hello! I want to welcome you to the CASLT CoLab Mentorship Course! The goal of this course is to familiarize you with the principles of mentorship guiding this program to prepare you for the interactions that you may have virtually or in person with your mentoring network of language teachers.

Throughout this course, I will guide you to reflect on your personal and professional experiences with mentorship in the past to consider how mentorship is conceived today. To do this, you will have the opportunity to explore your understanding of language, learning communities, and collaborative professionalism.

In the following modules, you will find resources and information that will help you to be successful in the mentoring program. In addition to content, you will also have the chance to participate in interactive and collaborative activities with other members so you can start building relationships for your mentoring network. If any of their posts or comments are particularly insightful or relevant to your professional practice, feel free to reach out to them through the member directory! This course is delivered asynchronously, so you can stop and pick up where you left off at any time.
